The purpose of the Team BC 16U Beach program is to introduce athletes to the skills and tactics of the beach discipline and to provide exposure to a highly competitive tournament environment. Athletes from BC born in 2001 or later (16U), will participate in a 4 day beach high performance camp July 31 – Aug 3rd. The Team BC 16U Beach athletes selected from the high performance camp will then participate in the Big West Volleyfest provincials, a 3 day training block leading up to the Seaside Volleyball tournament in Seaside Oregon August 10-13th.

Eligible Athletes
Athletes living in BC born in 2001 or later are eligible for the Team BC Beach HP Camp.
Registration
– Athletes can register as a partner OR individual
-Athletes will be selected as pairs OR individuals to the Team BC 16U Beach program.
-Athletes must also register for Youth Provincials
-Athletes must have a valid passport in order to be considered for the Team BC 16U Beach program.

Selection Process

Selection for the 2017 Team BC Beach 16U program will take place during Team BC Beach HP Camp. Athletes will register as PAIRS or INDIVIDUALS. Athlete selection will take place through results of a trial tournament the HP Camp (top 2 pairs) as well as through observation and evaluation throughout the HP camp (2 athletes). In total there will be 3 teams per gender selected for the Team BC Beach 16U program.
