A great start to Volleyball BC’s youth beach season last weekend at the 2017 High School Beach Open. Separate High School Beach tournaments taking place in Vancouver, Okanagan and Penticton marked the first youth beach volleyball events of 2017.
A total of 355 teams kicked off this weekend making up one of Canada’s largest weekends of youth beach volleyball. The Vancouver Island tournament continues to break records with a total of 161 teams in their single day event. Nanaimo District Secondary School had the most teams at 20 followed by Dover Bay at 19 teams.
Just in time before the rainy days that were ahead– High School Beach Open was a success under the clear skies. We can’t wait to see what the Sand Series on June 17th and June 18th has in store for us!
