August 17th, 2014 (PARKSVILLE, BC) – On Sunday, teams from across Western Canada laid it all on the line in hopes of walking away with a gold medal at the 2014 Beach National Championships in Parksville, BC.
While Friday and Saturday’s pool play offered teams a chance to play multiple matches and gauge the competition, on Sunday only winning teams were able to progress into the next rounds.
By mid-day the final rounds had begun on feature court, and after three days of hard fought battles there were gleeful celebrations in the sand for medaling teams. Medal ceremonies took place on the beach with Volleyball Canada officials presenting the gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Volleyball Canada and Volleyball BC would like to thank all of the youth athletes and their families who travelled from multiple locations around Western Canada to take part in this amazing event.
