The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack enter the Christmas Break as the number seven ranked team in Canadian University women’s volleyball.
The final rankings of the 2019 portion of the season have been released and for the second week in a row, Chad Grimm‘s squad is ranked seventh. The Pack have a 9-3 record and an ELO of 1650.74
There is no change among the top seven teams in the nation. Trinity Western (11-1) is first with an ELO ranking of 1800.60. They are followed by the OUA Ryerson Rams (8-1) with an ELO of 1784.36. Third ranked Dalhousie Tigers (AUS) have an 8-0 record and an ELO of 1777.86. Toronto Blues sit in fourth place again this week (record of 8-1 and ELO of 1773.26). The Mount Royal Cougars sit fifth (11-1 record, 1701.50 ELO) and the Brock Badgers are sixth (7-2 record, 1664.18 ELO).
The rest of the U SPORTS top 10 consists of two unranked teams: Alberta is now eighth (7-5 record and ELO of 1645.61) and Laval Rouge et Or in number nine (7-3 record, ELO of 1635.22). Western Mustangs have slipped from eighth to 10th with a record of 7-3 and ELO of 1633.58.
The WolfPack return to action on Friday, January 3,, 2020 when they visit the Winnipeg Wesmen. Their next home match isn’t until Friday, January 10, 2020 when the Manitoba Bisons pay a visit to the Tournament Capital Centre. Match time will be 6:45 pm that night.
