16U MEN

“The 16U Boys teams had a successful week at the NTCC tournament in Kingston Ontario.  BC Red finished with a Silver Medal and BC Blue finished in 4th place.  Day 1 consisted of two matches within your pool of 3. BC Red went 2-0 while BC Blue went 0-2 in a really difficult pool.  The second day we were re-pooled where BC Red was in the “power pool” and went 1-1 losing to Ontario Red 3-1 and defeating Alberta  3-1 to go into the playoffs with the 2nd seed.  BC Blue went 2-0 in their Re-Pool by defeating PEI and Saskatchewan.  BC Red and BC Blue both went 5 in their ¼ finals with both teams coming out on top, BC Blue defeated Ontario Black (who they lost to earlier in the tournament) and BC Red overcame some adversity to defeat Saskatchewan.  This result lined up an all BC Semi-Final.  In the Semi after a substantial injury to BC Blue’s Jeremiah Macadam, BC Red came out on top 3-0.  BC Blue went on to the Bronze and had a great match vs Alberta but lost 3-1 while BC Red came up short in the final versus a very strong Ontario Red team.

We had 3 BC players be selected to the Team Canada Selects Men’s program, Teo Ardanaz, Cody Boulding and Max Haronga.”
