Weekend Club Volleyball Wrap-Up

It was another busy weekend of club volleyball in BC, with tournaments taking place in the Okanagan, Lower Mainland, and on Vancouver Island.

The 12U and 13U girls took part in a Super Spike tournament at the Harry Jerome Sports Centre on Saturday and Sunday, with twenty-four teams participating. There were some great matches, and at the end of the event the most sportsmanlike player awards were handed out to two girls from each team. On the Island last weekend, the 17U and 18U girls played in the Super Series event at VIU and John Barsby Secondary School. Twenty-one teams competed, and the winning teams were awarded champion T-shirts. Links to the results are below.

In the Okanagan, thirteen 15U boys teams and twelve 16U boys teams competed in Kelowna.  UBC Okanagan and George Elliot Secondary School hosted the Super Volley and Super Series events that featured teams from the Okanagan, East Kootenays, Fraser Valley, Northern BC, the Lower Mainland, and even Spokane, Washington.

Next weekend, the Okanagan will host twenty-six 12/13/14U girls teams as they compete in the two day Super Spike at Okanagan Mission Secondary & Rutland Secondary.
