That’s a wrap! 2014 Provincial Championships finish strong

On Sunday, the 16U boys and girls returned for their second day of play and by mid-morning the Tradex had teams competing on all 18 courts. The first medal match playoffs had been determined by noon and the afternoon was filled with feature court battles in the medal rounds. The SportsCanada.tv live stream was broadcasting and people from all over the province were tuning in to watch the live action.

The last two weekends have been the most highly attended volleyball provincial championships in BC history. Volleyball BC is proud to be able to host such a high-profile and well attended event and we received great feedback from parents and players who said the experience was fantastic.

The 2014 Provincial Championships have been an amazing event and Volleyball BC would like to thank all of the parents, coaches, and players who took part this year. We can’t wait to see you at next year’s event.

While the provincial tournament is over, the national tournament is just about to begin. The 2014 14U Canadian West Open starts on Friday May 9th, 2014 at the Tradex Convention Centre and runs through Sunday.
