Team BC ID Camps raise the bar (and some food)

This December, Volleyball BC ran the popular “Team BC Identification Camps” in Burnaby, Kelowna, Prince George, and Nanaimo. The camps are designed to develop athletes aged 12-18 as well as give coaches and regional coordinators a chance to document top athletes for possible Team BC selection in the future.  There was a large turnout and a significant amount of talent at these camps with an extraordinary coaching staff at each event.

Each year these events include a food drive and this year we had an amazing amount of food donated in each region.

Food drive results by region –

Okanagan: 260 pounds

North: 180 pounds

Island:  20 pounds

Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley: 315 pounds

The total contribution of food is 775 pounds!

Volleyball BC holds a drawing to give away a Volleyball BC Prize Pack to an individual in each region who donated food.

The winners are:

Okanagan: Benjanmin Molitwenik
LM/FV: Kayln Hong
North: Emily Shannon

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all those that donated.

Volleyball BC will be hosting an additional Team BC ID camp during Spring Break. Camp details will be posted in February.
