Volleyball Component:
The Train & Play sessions are designed for participants of all levels to learn volleyball in a low-pressure, developmentally appropriate environment. Coaches will instruct the participants on the different technical and tactical skills of volleyball using both the traditional and conceptual approach. The maximum number of participants will be 12 participants per court.

Cycling Component:
“Try the Track” is a session that introduces the participant to the velodrome and track riding. During this event participants will learn about the velodrome and how to ride a track bike on their own on the track. The Coaches will walk everything through the process to get everyone up to speed. This is a unique experience as the Burnaby Velodrome is North America’s longest operating indoor velodrome. There are currently only 3 covered velodromes in Canada!
Participants will be provided with a bike from the Burnaby Velodrome Club rental fleet to use during the session. If a helmet is needed we will also have loaner helmets available.

Pickleball Component:
Come learn and enjoy the fast growing world of pickleball. Some aspects of tennis, badminton and table tennis but not like any of them. No prior paddle or racket sport experience required. Very easy to learn and have fun but difficult to become real good at.
Come and try this engaging sporting activity. You will need runners, court shoes or similar and a desire to laugh and enjoy. We will have NCCP coaches on site who will lead you through some very fundamental aspects and quickly get you into actual games.

We will provide contact information for continuation in your home locality.

This event is part of the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge.
