This weekend Volleyball BC will be hosting the Baden Cup tryouts! The age groups attending will be 14U Girls, 16U Girls, and 17U Boys. We have a record number 220 athletes across the province attending the 14U Tryouts! These athletes will have the opportunity to be selected to attend the 14U Baden Cup. The 14U Baden Cup is a 4-day high performance camp where athletes get introduced to beach volleyball as well as indoor volleyball training as part of the “Team BC Pathway”. The coaches selected to coach the 14U Baden Cup are some of the best coaches in the province.

Our 16U Girls and 17U boys Baden tryouts have over 200 athletes attending and the 16U and 17U athletes will have a chance to be selected to attend the 16/17U Baden Cup in Kamloops. At the Baden Cup, athletes will attend a rigorous 4-day training camp where 24-30 athletes will be selected to play on “Team BC”. These athletes will train during the month of July and attend the Western Elite Championships in Edmonton Alberta.

Many of our BC athletes that attend the Baden Cup will go on to play Team BC and several have gone to train with Team Canada.
