The National Team Challenge Cup (NTCC) was hosted from July 15-19, 2015 in Richmond (women) at the Richmond Oval and in Edmonton (men) at the Saville Community Sports Centre. The NTCCs are an elite championship that bring together the best athletes and coaches representing their province/territory and culminate in a National Championship.
In the 18U Girls Division at the Richmond Oval, Team BC won the Gold medal by winning 3-0 over Ontario Red. In the bronze medal match team Alberta 18U beat Ontario Black 3-0. Congratulations to our 18U Girls Team BC program for their hard work over the last 3 weeks.
The Girls 16U Division gold medal final had Ontario Red beat Alberta White and the bronze medal was awarded to Manitoba Black. Team BC Red came in 7th position and Team BC Blue finished in 10th. Congrats to our 16U Girls Team BC athletes for their hard work at the 16U Baden Cup and throughout their training in Kamloops.
The Boys NTCC was held in Edmonton and in the 18U Boys Division Ontario Black beat Alberta 17U 3-1 in the gold medal match. The Team BC 18U Boys came 5th after losing a close ¼ final in 5 sets to Alberta 17U.
The Boys 16U Division was also won by Ontario with Ontario Red beating Alberta in the gold medal match. Our 16U Team BC Red played for the bronze medal and lost a close match 13-15 in the 5th set to Manitoba Gold. Our Team BC Blue finished the tournament in 8th place.
