Montreal Canada, September 5th, 2019 — Volleyball BC and Mikasa Canada have announced a new partnership, effective September 1st, making Mikasa the exclusive indoor and outdoor volleyball supplier for Volleyball BC. The agreement will begin immediately and run through to 2024. Mikasa is currently the official supplier of volleyballs for the FIVB, 2020 Olympics, Volleyball Canada, U Sports, as well as numerous Canadian and international organizations.
“Partnering with Mikasa Canada is an exciting opportunity, not only for our organization, but also for our athletes,” explains Volleyball BC CEO Chris Densmore. “This new agreement means that Volleyball BC players will be able to use the same volleyballs throughout the season, including the Volleyball BC Provincial Championships and Volleyball Canada National Indoor Championships.”
Mikasa has recently formed official partnerships with Volleyball Canada and other Canadian volleyball governing bodies, giving Mikasa a very strong presence across Canada.

* Volleyball BC will be using the new 18 panel design VQ2000W Volleyball BC branded ball. This ball is currently in production and will be available to clubs by February. The interim recommended ball is the current VQ2000 model – this ball is a similar performance ball (slightly different panel design), but comes in up to 18 different color schemes.
** Volleyball BC will be creating a custom branded Competition ball for the 2020 youth beach season.
