High School Girls Volleyball Rankings Are Out! Lord Byng Movin’ On Up

The latest Senior High School Girls ranking are out, with the most noise on the AAAA Girls side being made by the Lord Byng Grey Ghosts.

After a slow start, the Grey Ghosts are picking up speed as of late, debuting in the rankings last week at No. 7 and now slotting in at No. 3 this week.

The Grey Ghosts look to be peaking at the right time of year and are led by arguably the best high school player in the county in Katarina Pantovic and one of B.C.’s best youth beach players, Sara Ostojic.

Pantovic represented Canada this past summer as B.C.’s lone member on the Women’s National Youth Team that took part in a NORCECA event in Honduras. She was heavily relied upon by Canada, finishing the event one of the team’s leaders in scoring and playing time.

Ostojic also has a very eventful summer, winning a 16U Silver Medal at Beach Nationals and traveling to Seaside, Oregon as part of Team BC’s beach team with her partner, Garcie May (Belmont).

In other AAAA Girls news, Oak Bay jumped up to the No. 2 spot in the province, while Belmont remained No. 1 for the third week in a row.

On the AAA Girls side, Elgin Park jumped up four spots this week, sliding into the No. 4 spot.

On the AA Girls side, Pacific Academy continues their rise, slotting into the No. 5 spot this week.

And in Single A Girls, Chilliwack’s Unity Christian remains the No. 1 ranked team, with Kelowna Christian hot on their heals, rising two spots to the No. 2 ranking this week.

Below are the full rankings.
