TRU – MVB Head to Coast to Play Exhibitions vs UBC and Trinity Western

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s volleyball team are ‘busing’ it again this weekend.

After taking an eight and a half hour bus ride to Edmonton, Alberta last weekend for their first exhibition tournament of the season last weekend, the Pack are back on the road again this weekend.
Thompson Rivers is going to Vancouver and then Langley for three exhibition matches against Canada West opponents.

The WolfPack will meet up with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds tonight and tomorrow (26-27) as part of the Thunderbirds high school tournament. On Saturday (Sept 28), Thompson Rivers will go to the old Trinity Western gym in Langley, BC) to tangle with the Spartans. UBC is coached by former WolfPack setter, assistant coach and interim head coach Mike Hawkins. He is assisted by former TRU player and assistant coach Matt Krueger again this year.

Thompson Rivers was 1-5 last weekend in Edmonton.

The WolfPack open their 2019-20 Canada West regular season on Friday October 18th in Brandon, Manitoba against the Bobcats.
Their home opener is one week later, Friday, October 25th as they meet up with the University of Calgary Dinos at the Tournament Capital Centre. Match time is 5 pm.
