The boys are back in town – boys club tournament results

Burnaby and Langley were the host cities last weekend for the 14U and 17/18U boys tournaments. The 14U Super Spike event took place at the Harry Jerome Sports Centre in Burnaby with 16 teams competing on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the great volleyball action, the Wings truck was serving food and there were lots of parents and families on hand cheering on the athletes. The tournament also had “Most Sportsmanlike” player awards which were given to two players from each team. Results are available on the event page.

In Langley, the big boys were dropping the hammer with sixteen 17/18U boys teams competing in the Super Series tournament. The event was hosted at Brookswood Secondary and Langley Secondary over the two days. Kelowna KaPow walked away with first place after a great match with a very competitive Mariners team. The Fraser Valley Volleyball Club team Agoge played well and got a 3rd place finish in their stomping grounds. Full results are available on the event page.

A big thanks to all of the teams who took part in these tournaments and with ProvincialChampionships just around the corner, the competition is heating up.
