Two weeks after the season opener in Burnaby, the 16U teams returned to play in the first Super Series event of the year. Teams played in two divisions, with (AA) matches taking place at the Harry Jerome Sports Centre, while (A) matches were held at the Byrne Secondary School. A total of 34 teams took part in the event, including teams from Vancouver Island and the Okanagan who made the trip to the Lower Mainland.
Pool play began on Saturday morning, and by late afternoon the first round of the playoffs had started. On Sunday, playoffs continued with the final matches taking place in the afternoon. Winning teams were the first to see some of the new t-shirt prizing for this year.
