Volleyball Canada and the Coaching Association of Canada have made changes to the NCCP Coach Education pathway. The purpose of these changes are to update and improve the course content, modify the in person Workshops to allow more time on court, provide flexibility for coaches to take course material at home, eliminate some of the In Person Multi Sport modules and clarify the certification process by tracking progress visually in one central system (status area).
Here is a breakdown of the main changes:
- Registration: Registration for all Coach Workshops will now be done through the Volleyball Canada Coaching Centre http://coach.volleyball.ca/
- E Learning: Prior to registration in the Development Coach Workshop and the Advanced Development Coach Workshop, participants must complete the Pre Workshop E- Modules. To begin, go to http://coach.volleyball.ca/register.php and complete your Coach Profile and press Continue;
- Next, click on Development Coach or Advanced Development Coach context
- Then click on Volleyball Disciplines and make your payment for $79. This fee covers all 12 Volleyball Canada e-modules for both the Development and Advanced Development Coach contexts, for beach and indoor.
- Begin the first e-module – Volleyball Disciplines. Note: some e-modules may be ‘under construction’ due to testing protocols. In this case, please come back soon, as they will be available very shortly.
E-modules will cost $79 and will take around 5-8 hours to complete.
- Naming of Coaching Contexts: Names of each coaching context have been changed and the new terminology will be used from now on:
