BC School Sports released their preseason High School Girls Volleyball rankings late last week ahead of the annual UBC tournament this past weekend.

Starting the season at No. 1 for AAAA Girls Volleyball is Earl Marriot. The reigning AAAA Girls Provincial Champions, Belmont, made a strong case to become the new No. 1 in the next poll after finishing second in the UBC Tournament this past weekend.

The reigning AAA Girls Provincial Champions, Crofton House, start out the year atop the AAA Girls rankings. Little Flower Academy, the preseason No. 2 ranked team made a strong case to overtake Crofton House this weekend by winning the UBC Tournament.

Little Flower Academy, knocked off Earl Marriott (No. 1 AAAA), Belmont (No. 3 AAAA) and Kelowna (No. 7 AAAA) on their way to winning the title.

York House starts out the year at the top of the AA Girls rankings. They went 3-0 in the round robin at the UBC Tournament, losing their first round playoff match up to Belmont (No. 3 AAAA).

The No. 3 ranked, Langley Christian Lightning looked good at the UBC Tournament as well. Also going 3-0 in the round robin, losing out to Kelowna (No. 7 AAAA) in the first round of the playoffs.
