In 2020-2021, Volleyball Canada led a thorough review of our Development Coach Workshop with the goal of adapting the content to allow for online delivery. The revised workshop can now be delivered completely online. The workshop features both synchronous and asynchronous learning methods to try and accommodate for as many different learning styles as possible.

The Development Coach Workshop is divided into four (4) separate but highly related modules:

Module 1: Basics Volleyball Concepts and Systems of Play
Module 2: Effectively Teaching Key Volleyball Skills
Module 3: Maximizing Practice and Drill Planning Efficiency
Module 4: The NCCP Certification Process and Next Steps

The first three modules include a pre-recorded video lecture and related assignment that coaches can view and complete on their own time. Following the video lecture and assignment, a live facilitated session is conducted to review the assignment, provide opportunities to share experiences and ask questions. The 4th module video is provided to informed coaches on the NCCP Certification Process and Next Steps, again which they can view on their own time.
