Vancouver, B.C . – June 14, 2013 – ClearlyContacts.ca, a world leader in the online sale of contacts, glasses and sunglasses, has demonstrated its commitment to the sport of volleyball by signing a 3 year deal with Volleyball BC to become the title sponsor of its marquee pro beach volleyball tournament, formerly called the Vancouver Open. The tournament, now named “ClearlyContacts.ca Open”, features the top teams in Canada, including 2012 Olympian Josh Binstock, competing for their share of $15,000.
The tournament will be held July 12-14 at Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver with the women’s finals scheduled for Sunday July 14 at 4pm and the men’s finals scheduled to start at 5pm. Attendance is free of charge for all spectators and as a part of their partnership, ClearlyContacts.ca will provide great prizing and contests for spectators.

On the men’s side the top ranked team of 2012 Olympian Josh Binstock, along with his partner Sam Schachter will look to win their first ClearlyContacts.ca title together as a team and on the women’s side local favorites Nicole McNamara and Megan McNamara will look to win their first title after winning the 18 & under National Championship in 2012. With bleacher seating, live music, contests and prizes all weekend long and a brand new title sponsor, this year’s event promises to be the biggest and best in its 22 year history. Qualification runs Friday July 12th from 8:30am – 5:00pm, and main draw matches will be held July 13-14 from 8:30am – 6:00pm.
