Additional details have been released regarding the 2015 Volleyball Canada Championships in Calgary, which will take place May 14 to 19.

“As we get closer to kicking off our registration process, we are excited to share more information on venues and housing to help facilitate a smooth planning process for those travelling to Calgary,” said Chrissy Benz, Director of Domestic Competitions for Volleyball Canada. “The excitement is building and we are aiming to provide the most up-to-date information possible.”

Housing Portal
The HTG Sports Services housing portal will open to all teams on November 4, coinciding with the opening of team registration. The link to the online housing portal will be posted on the accommodations page of the website.

The majority of the hotels have less rooms with two double beds than rooms with a king bed. As a result, we will be prioritizing the double rooms for athletes only and the king bedded rooms for parents and team personnel.

Also, in order to avoid duplication of team bookings, teams will be required to provide the name of their head coach in order to confirm a hotel booking.

For clubs looking to book a larger amount of rooms for multiple teams, please ensure that you have the required information for each team as we have asked HTG Sports Services to book teams on an individual basis, so we can easily cross reference against your registration.

Registration
As previously announced, only the name of the team, age category, gender and the details of one team contact person will be required to register for the event. The remainder of the roster, including players and coaching staff, will need to be submitted between January and March.

The fees ($1050 for 14U and $1150 for 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U) are required in full at the time of registration. Additional information on the Senior age category will be available in January.

Since registration procedures may vary by province, please consult the VRS User Guide (coming soon) which can be found under the registration page (www.volleyball.ca/node/3717) of the website.
