14U Canadian West Open national tournament countdown

In just a matter of hours, the opening ceremonies for the 14U Canadian West Open national competition will begin at the Tradex Convention Centre in Abbotsford, BC. 14U boys and girls teams from all across Canada will be travelling to BC to take part in the national event. The Canadian West Open is a Volleyball Canada national tournament run in partnership with Volleyball BC.

The national tournaments are held across the country with different age groups competing in different tournaments in each province. The tournament is sure to be exciting as many players will face teams from other provinces for the first time this season.

The 14U Canadian West Open runs from 9am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 8am to 4:30pm on Sunday. Teams will be competing on Friday and Saturday in hopes of reaching Sunday’s medal rounds.

SportsCanada.TV will be broadcasting the feature court games live on Sunday May 11th. The event will have multiple vendors on site, including RE7, Travel Roller, Canuck Volleyball, Sports Action Pictures, PowerPlant Whole Foods, Athletes in Action, and Darrin Moreria Training.

There will also be  a Volleyball Canada World League booth at the event promoting the June 13th and 14th matches between the Canadian National Team and Belgium. Josh Howatson of the Canada Men’s National Team will be in the booth all weekend to sign autographs, pose for pictures, and talk volleyball with attendees.
